3 miles of Ninemile Creek contaminated by oil spill Friday, officials say

Local officials and farmers are still dealing with the aftermath of a major oil spill north of Enid, where hundreds of barrels of oil mixture are estimated to have spread across Ninemile Creek in north-central Oklahoma.
The oil spill was first reported Friday around 8:30 a.m. near West Keowee Road and North Garland Road in northern Garfield County. Nemaha Environmental Services, an Enid-based company, owns a drilling mud disposal operation at the site between Kremlin and Hillsdale. Read more.
