AirCom sues 23 chemical companies over PFAS

The Nantucket Airport Commission is suing 23 chemical companies, along with up to 20 so-called “Doe defendants” (identities unknown at this time) for harm done to airport property and the costs associated with investigating, remediating and monitoring groundwater wells contaminated with PFAS.

“Defendants have caused great harm to (the airport), acting with implied malice and an outrageously conscious disregard for Plaintiff’s rights and safety such that the imposition of punitive damages is warranted,” reads the suit filed late Tuesday afternoon. Read more.
