Atmos Technology chemical spills into Goose Creek in West Goshen and West Chester

On Saturday, at 12:20 p.m., the West Chester Borough was notified of a “milky white substance” in Goose Creek, near Nields Street, that allegedly caused a fish kill. Both West Goshen Township and the Borough of West Chester are advising residents and their pets to stay out of Goose Creek.

Borough employees coordinated the first response, working upstream from Neilds Street, and traced the source to an outfall pipe located at Atmos Technologies by 12:45 p.m. in West Goshen Township, near Henderson High School, according to a Monday release issued by the DEP. Read more.
