New Jersey’s campaign to hold polluters accountable for decades of damage to the Garden State’s environment marches on, with two new lawsuits filed Wednesday by the state. New Jersey filed complaints against businesses that spent years contaminating nearby waters and then failed to clean up the mess, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Catherine McCabe announced.
The first lawsuit focuses on contamination allegedly caused by the paint company Sherwin-Williams at various sites in Camden County. The other lawsuit is filed against multiple manufacturing companies tied to pollution at a site in Bergen County. Read more.
