Class-action lawsuit settled in Hoosick Falls PFOA contamination case

Six years after a class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of the Hoosick Falls community, there’s word the $65 million PFOA settlement is now a done deal.

The settlement comes overnight, after many claims the drinking water in the Rensselaer County village was contaminated with the toxic chemical PFOA.

Three companies — St. Gobain, 3M, and Honeywell — will split the cost of the multi-million dollar payout. Read more.
