Construction/development

Source: Tango Specialty

A real estate developer is building student housing slated to be completed in time for the start of classes in the Fall. The project is delayed due to construction delays and design errors which prevents students from moving in. This results in the college having to find and rent rooms in local hotels for the students. The college sues the developer alleging professional negligence in their oversight of the construction. A real estate developer policy provides coverage for the incurred damages the developer is responsible for arising from the delays, design errors, and costs to temporarily house the students.
