Dry cleaner fined $200K for toxic mess that lingered for decades

A shuttered Trenton dry cleaning business has been fined more than $200,000 for failing to clean up a decades-old toxic mess.

The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office announced on Thursday that it had won a case against Schofield Cleaners by default, after the business failed to respond to the original complaint. Read more.
