A General Contractor hired an environmental consultant to perform hydro-geological services for the construction of two high rise residential towers. The consultant prepared a groundwater management plan, which was followed by the General Contractor. After the completion of the project, a sinkhole and additional depressions appeared. The project owner sued the consultant and other parties involved with the project, claiming seven figures in damages, while alleging the consultant had prepared a faulty groundwater management plan and had improperly overseen the activities associated with the groundwater management plan.
