Fond du Lac authorities lift shelter-in-place after Ammonia spill at milk processing plant

At around 11 Tuesday night, authorities in Fond du Lac lifted a shelter-in-place recommendation for several residents after a chemical spill at a manufacturing plant.

Local 5 News was the only local station on scene when Fond du Lac firefighters wrapped head to toe in red hazmat suits went inside the Milk Specialties plant to cleanup, ventilate, and mitigate the damage from the chemical release that happened this afternoon. Read more.
