Gulf Breeze votes to pay $1.5M settlement taking accountability for Midway Water crisis

The Gulf Breeze City Council voted in favor of a settlement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Tuesday night.

The city was facing a million dollar fine in connection with the Midway water crisis last year.

The DEP said Brown Construction Company, the Midway Water company and the City of Gulf Breeze were all responsible for a sewer line that was connected to a water line last year in Midway.
