Condominium owners are alleging that Cypress Point on Clinton Street was built with “structural defects” that caused water damage.

The developers of a 53-unit condominium building on Clinton Street in Hoboken may still be on the hook for allegedly faulty construction to the exterior of the building.
In June, an Appellate Court reversed an earlier ruling against the Cypress Point Condominium Association, which had dismissed the association’s complaint against the project’s developer, Adria Towers, L.L.C., the developer’s insurers, Evanston Insurance Company, Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Company and various subcontractors.
The case will now go back to the NJ Supreme Court for a final ruling.
Condo owners are alleging that they purchased homes “under false pretenses,” and that their units developed structural defects such as water infiltration and excess moisture because subcontractors failed to properly install roofing, flashing, gutters and leaders, brick and EIFS facade, windows, doors and sealants.
