The Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel is warning guests at the check-in desk not to take showers at the hotel because of ongoing water testing after two guests last year were diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease, a serious form of pneumonia.

In a letter handed to guests when they check in, the hotel says it is working with health officials to chemically treat and permanently disinfect the hotel’s water system “to kill any remaining Legionella and prevent more from growing.”  Read more.
