In lawsuit, Fairfield claims company cost them ‘millions of dollars’ in environmental cleanup

The town of Fairfield is facing “millions of dollars” for environmental cleanup after an engineering firm skipped state approval and used contaminated soil to build a berm around the town’s former dump site, a lawsuit claims.

This week the town filed a lawsuit against Osprey Environmental Engineering and engineer Robert Grabarek, both of Clinton, in state Superior Court in Bridgeport. Read more.
