Lawsuit alleges horse stable is leaching contaminants into Fern Ridge Reservoir

The Oregon Department of Agriculture filed a lawsuit against Lakeview Stables for allegedly leaching contaminants into the water of Fern Ridge Reservoir for the past seven years.

Since 2016, the ODA said they have frequently reached out to the owners of the Lakeview Stables property through verbal and written means. The problem, according to the lawsuit: a massive mound of horse manure that was piled up on the property.  Read more.
