Man seeking $1M over Harlem Legionnaires’ outbreak: Lawyer

A Harlem man sickened in the recent Legionnaires’ outbreak is planning to sue New York City Health + Hospitals for $1 million, according to his lawyer.

Lawyer Ronald Katter on Wednesday filed a notice of claim on behalf of Victor Hinkson, who became sick with Legionnaires’ disease near Harlem Hospital, according to the claim. Harlem Hospital was identified as one of 12 sites where people may have been exposed to Legionella bacteria. Read more.
