New Jersey sues Honeywell over contamination in Edgewater and Hudson River

Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration sued one of the nation’s largest companies on Tuesday seeking financial damages for a cornucopia of pollution that has seeped from an Edgewater Superfund site into the Hudson River and the surrounding area for decades.
The lawsuit filed against Honeywell International seeks money to restore damages to New Jersey’s natural assets because coal tar, arsenic and other contaminants continue to be released “well outside” the boundaries of the Quanta Superfund site, according to state officials. Read more.
