NJ sues Branchburg firm over pollution

The state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has filed suit against a longtime Readington Road business to recoup the DEP’s related costs of the “cleanup and removal” of contamination from the property.

In the suit filed June 20 in Somerset County Superior Court, the DEP is seeking damages arising from the discharge of hazardous substances dating back decades at Taylor Forge Stainless at 22 Readington Road in the North Branch Station section of Branchburg. Read more.
