NYS: At Least 4 Deaths Linked to Disease Outbreak at Manhattan Nursing Home

The officials from the New York State Department of Health said Thursday that there have been a total of eight cases of Legionnaires’ disease found at the Amsterdam Nursing Home on Amsterdam Avenue in Washington Heights.

Among the eight people confirmed to have the illness, five have since died, four of which were due to Legionnaires. The cause of the other death remains under investigation, health officials said. Read more.
