PBSO report says mold makes headquarters building “impossible to fix”

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s headquarters building in West Palm Beach is so riddled with mold that it should be torn down and replaced, according to a mold expert who said he helped perform and analyze a recent inspection of the building PBSO has inhabited since 1983.

The conclusion in the July mold inspection comes as the county is readying a $42 million partial renovation of the Gun Club Road building, which has been beset by leaks and mold for years. Read more.
