The Southside Transit Center was delayed because a steel beam frame was installed incorrectly, according to the City of Tallahassee’s Construction Manager John Powell.

Powell said the error would be at no cost to taxpayers.

“And one issue that we identified was that the steel frame needed to be corrected or adjusted. So we took the opportunity to make sure that we took it down, that we refabricated, and that we will be reinstalling that steel in March,” Powell said. Read more.
