Studies seek PFAS source in North Chelmsford

Work is ongoing to determine sources of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances — known as PFAS or “forever” chemicals — at the public works site at 54 Richardson Road, and at North Chelmsford water district wells.

Stephen Jahnle, assistant public works director, told the Select Board the Department of Environmental Protection submitted data on April 12. The data is part of a required status update sent every three months to the Department of Environmental Protection. Read more.
