Students at Upper Perkiomen High School will be heading back to class Monday after the school was closed last week due to mold issues.
The school operated on a two-hour delay Monday morning to allow teachers time to prepare their classrooms after the time off.
As reported on the school’s website, officials with the school noticed mold growing in the high school building over the summer. The district hired a company to remove the mold and clean the building.
Crews wiped down visible black mold, changed air filters, and brought in humidifiers in their efforts to treat the mold.
Only the high school was impacted by the mold.
Picture day is expected to continue as planned on Wednesday.
