Utility to Pay $1.5M to Settle Pollution Issues at Southwestern Indiana Plant

Indianapolis Power & Light Co. has agreed to pay more than $1.5 million in penalties to resolve pollution issues at its Petersburg Generating Station in southwestern Indiana.
IPL will pay a civil penalty of $1.525 million, with $925,000 going to the federal government and $600,000 to the state of Indiana, the Indianapolis Business Journal reported. Read more.
