Developers planning to convert a former Kearny industrial site into housing and warehouse space are suing two chemical companies for $15.5 million in cleanup costs for toxic contamination.

Ridge Crossing and related developers filed a federal lawsuit last week in U.S. District Court in Newark accusing two chemical companies of leaving behind toxic contamination at a site in Kearny in Hudson County. Read more.
