Worker dies after column falls at luxury Miami building under construction

A construction worker died after a column fell at the future site of a luxury skyscraper in downtown Miami on Monday, officials said.

The incident happened at the site of the Okan Tower on North Miami Avenue near 6th Street. According to Miami Police officials, a structural column that was being erected on the top floor of the building fell, trapping the workers beneath it. Read more.
