Chris Houska

CEO of RT National Casualty

Chris Houska serves as Managing Director of RT Specialty and CEO of RT Specialty’s National Casualty Practice. Currently, he is a board member of the USC Advisory Board and the USC School of Risk Management. Chris has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Surplus Lines Association of California, and has been a part of RT Specialty’s leadership since its beginning in 2010.

Prior to joining RT Specialty, Chris began his insurance career as a commercial lines underwriter at Chubb. He then joined A.J. Renner & Associates and started the California office, which eventually he and his partner bought out to form Sterling West Insurance Services, a large, independent wholesaler. When Sterling West was acquired by CRC Insurance Services in 2005, Chris became president of CRC’s Los Angeles operations. He then joined RT Specialty as part of the original founding group.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Michigan State University. He stays very active in his community through his activities with Campbell Hall Episcopal School, Children’s Hospital, and The City of Hope.
