Submitting a Claim

All claims should be submitted to the office where the policy originated. Please see the list below for specific instructions by office location.

ASSISTANCE WITH CLAIM DISPUTES/CLIENT ADVOCACY

Our claims department has extensive technical knowledge to assist with coverage disputes. They have also proven to be invaluable in helping to facilitate the claim process and providing assistance in settlement negotiations. RT Specialty claim representatives are in constant contact with markets to remain current on their claim services, procedures, and personnel.

SPECIAL CLAIM HANDLING PROCEDURES

For those accounts that have special requirements, we work with all parties to establish claim handling procedures that meet the insured’s needs and expectations. We can also assist in monitoring the carrier and/or third party administrator to ensure compliance with the agreed upon procedures.

CLAIM REPORTING AND FOLLOW-UP

Most of our retail brokers choose to report losses through our offices. This process helps to ensure the loss receives proper attention and enables us to assist in monitoring the claim from first report through conclusion. To report a loss to RT Specialty, please refer to the individualized “Claims Reporting Instructions” provided with your policy or use the Find A Broker function on this website to determine the correct office. Upon receipt of a new loss, we will immediately forward the information to the carrier.
